Hi! I’m Urvashi, a student who loves combining creativity with technology. I enjoy finding ways to connect people and make ideas meaningful through simple digital experiences. This project is part of my journey to explore how technology can help people express themselves safely and creatively.I’m interested in projects that let people share emotions, reflect on themselves, and connect with others in meaningful ways. This website gave me the chance to apply what I’ve learned about web tools, Google Forms, and scripting while creating something that could actually help someone in real life.
The Unsent Archive is a website designed as a safe space for people to write letters they haven’t sent yet. Users can choose to write to their future selves or someone special. Each letter is stored securely and sent automatically on the date they choose. The website’s goal is to provide a private and simple platform where people can express their thoughts without pressure. It’s not about perfection—it’s about letting your feelings be written down and respected. This site is for anyone who wants a gentle way to share emotions, leave reminders for themselves, or send words they couldn’t say before. It’s a small digital space, but it’s designed to make a real emotional impact.
1.Write a Letter: Users fill out a form with name, recipient, letter content, delivery date, and email.
2.Safe Storage: All letters are stored securely in a Google Sheet to keep them private until delivery.
3.Automatic Delivery: Using a Google Apps Script, letters are sent automatically to the provided email at the chosen date.
4.Easy to Use: The process is simple and straightforward—like a digital time capsule for thoughts and feelings.
WHY I MADE THIS
I created this website to give people a space to:
Share feelings they can’t say out loud
Send messages to their future selves as reminders or encouragement
Keep messages safe while still expressing them meaningfully
This project allowed me to combine technology and creativity in a way that could help people reflect, share, and grow. It also taught me more about web development, scripting, and thinking from the user’s perspective.I hope anyone visiting The Unsent Archive feels safe, inspired, and encouraged to share their thoughts, knowing their words are valued and respected.
This website was inspired by the idea of time capsules and journaling, and the magic of seeing your own words return in the future. I wanted to create something personal, safe, and meaningful.
In the future, I hope to:
Add features like anonymous inspirational letters
Improve the design for a cozier, easier-to-use experience
Include gentle reminders for users to continue reflecting and writing
These plans aim to make the website a living, evolving space that helps people connect with their emotions safely and meaningfully.
THANK YOU
